Educating others on worldwide poverty is a critical step toward alleviating the problem.

Poverty Week Education

Poverty Resolutions has developed a variety of educational resources to help you plan lessons, presentations, activities, and events related to poverty. At Poverty Resolutions, we believe that education is empowerment. We do not see knowledge as an end in itself, but rather as a tool to inspire people to act.

Poverty Resolutions has developed age-appropriate educational presentations for students in elementary, middle, and high school. We also have worked with university students and professors. If you are interested in a presentation from Poverty Resolutions, contact us here.

1 Dollar Poverty
In May 2010, four men lived on one dollar a day per person for 28 days in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, four months after the devastating earthquake. The purpose of the trip was to learn about the needs of the Haitian people. They documented their experience to help give others a better understanding of what it is like to live in extreme poverty.

Educational Videos
Poverty Resolutions has produced short videos highlighting poverty related statistics. These videos can be used to help students visualize the magnitude of statistics that are often hard to comprehend.

1.4 billion people live on less than $1.25 a day.

780 million people don’t have access to clean drinking water.

21,000 children die every day due to poverty related causes.

925 million people don’t have enough to eat.
